Another great find from Romania. This wine is made from old vine Cabernet Sauvignon. The vines are over 35 years old, producing grapes of concentration and richness.
This reflects in the wine, dark red in colour, intense aromas of black and redcurrants and a touch of vanilla. On taste it is rich and opulent with soft rounded blackcurrants flavours and soft vanilla characters from the oak ageing. The flavours linger in the mouth for a long time! Drinks now but will keep and improve for 5 years.
Perfect with lamb and duck and guinea fowl dishes, try it with a mild Indian curry!
