Rapsani is an appellation based around the southern slopes of Mount Olympus, where quality wines have been produced for very many years.
The main grape variety for this wine is Xinomavro with smaller amounts of Krassato and Stavroto added.
It is aged in oak for at least 6 months and at least 6 months in bottle before being released.
This wine is medium to full red in colour, has a seductive bouquet of ripe berries and sweet spices mingled with savoury notes of tomato and pesto. It has soft, yet fruity flavours, velvet textured and a long mellow finish.
Perfect with lamb dishes and strong cheeses.
